What is in my attic?



Sometimes you may be just relaxed in your house only to hear some scratches on the wood coming from your attic. Or sometimes, you may hear steps or runs through the attic. At first you may assume this and leave it up to nature but sometimes, the cries coming out of the attic will not let you have a good night’s sleep and therefore, this is the point where you decide to take a look at your attic only to find a bunch of animals and collectibles there.

Animals in the attic

An attic is a safe place and most of the animals are likely to find shelter in the attic. These animals may be:

• Rats

• Squirrels

• Snakes

• Squirrels

• Raccoons

• Pigeons

• Bats

Therefore, when you go to the attic and realize that the animals have made it a play ground, what do you do? Or more appropriately, where do you start? Animals living in the attic could have been attracted by one or more factors they found favorable and therefore, before deciding on the course of action, it is best that get to know what brought them in the attic.

Why the attic?

The attic is a special place and a nice habitat for the animal. The conditions of the attic are so perfect for the animal and therefore living there becomes easy. But here are some of the reasons why the animal may give you visit in the attic:

• Shelter. The attic forms a nice shelter for the animals to breed and do most of their activities.

• Food. Given that the food is in the house, the attic forms a very close proximity to the food source.

• Protection. This is another factor attracting the animal in your attic, outside, the animal may be faced by hostility from other animals and therefore, your attic becomes the best escape route for the animals.

These are some of the reasons why there may be animals in your attic and therefore, before taking the appropriate course of action, it is best that you get to know what animal is bothering you and what brought it there.

Attic is an important place, it may be the playground, the breeding ground or even the feeding ground for most of the animals and therefore, it is best that you get to know what is bringing the animal in your attic and remove it before the problem becomes a menace.
